Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used forms of medicine in the world.  Originating in China more than 2,500 years ago, acupuncture is currently one of the most thoroughly researched, practiced, and respected forms of complementary medicine available anywhere.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, overall health is determined by the quality of the Qi (energy) flow through the pathways of your body (meridians). Acupuncture uses a variety of techniques, including placing very thin sterile (single-use) needles into specific points on the body, to stimulate and improve Qi flow.  Just like gardening, providing the right environment and appropriately managing Qi flow allows life to flourish as It inherently knows how.

The many benefits of acupuncture include:

  • Pain and stress management

  • Holistic body-mind integration

  • Increased energy levels & metabolic integrity

  • Stronger digestion, immunity, & sleep patterns

  • Relief from bad habits and wasteful thinking patterns

  • Greater sense of overall health and well-being

  • Homeostatic balance and stamina

  • Hormonal, lymphatic, & integumentary management

  • Detoxification pathway restoration & autoimmune disorder help

  • Pre-surgery preparation and Post-surgical recovery (please consult your MD for specific recommendations)

What to expect?

We invite you to check out our FAQs to help answer all of your questions.

Wear loose-fitting clothing when possible.  Most treatments can be done fully clothed if pant legs and sleeves go up easily.  Bringing shorts or another garment to change into helps minimize laundry, or there are gowns and towels available. Try to refrain from using heavy lotions, oils, & perfumes on the body. Clean skin and air are best.

24-hour notice is required for cancellations without a fee. Changes can be made online up to 24 hours prior or please contact by phone to coordinate. Fees could be waived, or credited forward, but we generally split the cost of broken appointments. Half-price under 24 hours, 65% under 12 hours, and full price for very last minute or no-call/no-show.

Please text a heads-up if you anticipate being more than 5 minutes late. Over 10 minutes late may encroach on the next person's appointment, so we'll either modify your session to accommodate or need to reschedule.

Allow around 90 minutes for your first acupuncture visit and about 1 hour for return visits. A little extra time is preferred over having to rush, but let us know if you have a time constraint.

Please remember to SILENCE phones and media. Thank you!
