Your first session will typically include a consultation about your health history and concerns, followed by a treatment. You will lie comfortably while thin needles are inserted and left in place for about 20–40 minutes.
Wear loose-fitting clothing when possible. Most treatments can be done fully clothed if pant legs and sleeves go up easily. Bringing shorts or another garment to change into helps minimize laundry, or there are gowns and towels available.
Allow around 90 minutes for your first acupuncture visit and about 1 hour for return visits. A little extra time is preferred over having to rush, but let us know if you have a time constraint.
Please SILENCE phones & media. Thank you!

Before your appointment, eat a light meal and stay hydrated. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. After treatment, drink plenty of water, rest if needed, and avoid strenuous activity to maximize the benefits.

24-hour notice is required for cancellations without a fee. Changes can be made online up to 24 hours prior or please contact by phone to coordinate. Fees could be waived, or credited forward, but we generally split the cost of broken appointments. Half-price under 24 hours, 65% under 12 hours, and full price for very last minute or no-call/no-show.
Please text a heads-up if you anticipate being more than 5 minutes late. Over 10 minutes late may encroach on the next person's appointment, so we'll either modify your session to accommodate or need to reschedule.
